HOW TO CONNECT THE PIPES TO THE DG HANDLE?
Firstly, we attach the appropriate dry fuse for oxygen to connection (4) and the appropriate dry fuse for combustible gas to connection (5). Then we attach the rubber hose for oxygen (blue) to connection (6) and necessarily protect it with a clamp, to connection (7) we attach the rubber hose for combustible gas (red) and also necessarily protect it with a clamp. The appropriate operating pressure of combustible gas (acetylene, propane-butane or natural gas) and oxygen is adjusted with the regulating valve on the pressure reducer valve, with the pressure indicator (manometer) next to the open valves on the torch, i.e., combustible gas from 0.1 to 1 bar, oxygen beyond 2.5 to maximum 8 bar. Precise operating pressures can be found in technical data tables (table 1, table 2 and table 3).
HOW TO SCREW THE MANUAL CUTTING TORCH OR WELDING TORCH TO THE DG HANDLE?
While screwing the manual cutting torch or welding torch to the DG handle, the nut M 27 x 1,5 (14) must be screwed with a screwdriver to enable total sealing.
HOW TO LIGHT THE MANUAL CUTTING TORCH OR WELDING TORCH?
RRG Manual cutting torch
We screw the RRG manual cutting torch to the handle using the M27 x 1,5 nut (14) with the screwdriver. We then slowly unscrew the valves on the gas bottles. On the RRG cutting torch we then unscrew the heating oxygen valve (9) for a single turn. Then we unscrew the valve for oxygen (2) on the DG handle (we unscrew the valve only until we can hear a blow at the nozzle (11)). When the valve for heating oxygen on the RRG cutting torch and the valve for oxygen on the DG handle are unscrewed, we also unscrew the valve for combustible gas for a single turn. At the nozzle (11), we light the cutting torch using the concave flint igniter. Then we slowly unscrew the cutting oxygen valve (8) and adjust the desired core of the flame and the flame itself with the help of the valves (2) and (3). Precise operating pressures can be found in technical data tables (table 1, table 2 and table 3).
PG welding torch
We screw the PG welding torch to the DG handle with the M27 x 1,5 nut (14) using the screwdriver. We then slowly unscrew the valves on the gas bottles. On the DG handle we first loosely unscrew the valve for oxygen (2) and then the valve for combustible gas (3). When both valves are unscrewed using the concave flint igniter, we light the PG welding torch. When we get the flame, we adjust the desired core of the flame and the flame itself with the help of the valves (2) and (3). Precise operating pressures can be found in technical data tables (table 1, table 2 and table 3).
WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A FLASHBACK?
When the heating gas extinguishes due to slag splashing or flashbacks during cutting or overheating, it is necessary to immediately close the combustible gas feed on the DG handle and immerse it in water. When the cutting torch is under water, we also close the oxygen supply.
HOW TO COOL OFF THE MANUAL CUTTING TORCH OR WELDING TORCH AFTER A LONGER USAGE?
The manual cutting torch or welding torch may heat up after it had been used for a longer period of time, thereby increasing the risk of a flashback.
When we notice the overheating, we must immediately shut down the torch and cool it off in water according to instructions in case of a flashback.
WHAT DOES CRACKING AND WHISTLING IN THE CUTTING TORCH OR WELDING TORCH MEAN?
They indicate a lack of oxygen, therefore the cutting torch or welding torch needs to be removed from the workpiece.
HOW TO USE NOZZLES FOR THE RRG MANUAL CUTTING TORCH?
For cutting with acetylene-oxygen we use:
The cutting nozzle (inner nozzle) for the appropriate material thickness (3-10, 10-30, 30-60, 60-100, 100-200, 200-300 mm) with the marking DL in a circle and the letter A. The nozzle is 33.5 mm long and the thread is M9.
The outer nozzle for the appropriate material thickness (3-100, 100-300 mm) with the marking DL in a circle and the letter A. The outer nozzle is 40.5 mm long and the thread is M21 x 1,5 (11).
For cutting with propane butane-oxygen we use:
The cutting nozzle (inner nozzle) for the appropriate material thickness (3-10, 10-30, 30-60, 60-100, 100-200, 200-300 mm) with the marking DL in a circle and the letter P. The nozzle is 33.5 mm long and the thread is M9.
The outer nozzle for the appropriate material thickness (3-100, 100-300 mm) with the marking DL in a circle and the letter P. The outer nozzle is 42 mm long and the thread is M21 x 1,5 (11).
Firstly, we screw the desired cutting nozzle (inner nozzle) to the cutting head, then we also screw the outer nozzle.
During usage, you must only use the cutting nozzle and outer nozzle manufactured in our company. Only this way we can ensure smooth operation and functioning.
